February is Black History Month. Turner Classic Movies will be celebrating the month by showing eight Black themed movies on Saturday nights in February. The theme for Saturday, February 4 is "Coming of Age." That night TCM will show the classics Cooley High (1975) and Sounder (1972). The theme for Saturday, February 11 is Soldier's Stories, featuring the classic films A Soldier's Story (1984) and Sergeant Rutledge (1960). The theme for Saturday, February 18 is When a Stranger Comes to Town. On that night TCM is airing the classic In the Heat of the Night (1967) and To Sleep with Anger (1990). Independent Women is the theme for Saturday, February 25. On that night TCM will be showing Losing Ground (1982) and Watermelon Woman (1985).
