About that time I had a girlfriend who had a blog, and it was her blog that inspired me to start my own (as hard as it is to believe A Shroud of Thoughts will be 9 years old in June). I know a few others who started blogs the, but I don't think it really took off until then!

Danny, I definitely fall in the pre-TCM side, but I have to agree with you. It is a treasure! If my cable company dropped it, I'd try finding another cable company real soon!Terence Towles Canotehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18397088843628331615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7210602.post-33648815285871773412013-03-27T18:40:39.957-05:002013-03-27T18:40:39.957-05:00I started working in a videostore at 16, and quick...I started working in a videostore at 16, and quickly grew interested in classic films since they were okay to show at all times of the day. I tried blogging in the early 2000's, but it was such a pain in the ass that I didn't try again until a few years ago; I wish I hadn't given up so easily the first time.

I guess I fall more on the DVD side of your point, but TCM is a treasure. There have been many times I've been tempted to get an entire cable package just for it-- and just reading your post is making that urge itch once more...Dannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15257279322223112273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7210602.post-60626658133211527162013-03-27T16:56:30.008-05:002013-03-27T16:56:30.008-05:00Very interesting post, Terry!

In 2007 and 2008, my journalism professors taught about them as a "new news source" and encouraged us all to start one in some shape or form.
I originally created mine for a cast but expanded to help share and learn more about classic films.
Jessica Pickenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14723242275408680308noreply@blogger.com
