Basically 150 years on, the reign of Edward III, and Edward II has actually survived his red hot poker arse tnerapy! The most glaring error is the Black Death out reak as 1341 and NOT 1348. The series are good watches, but really? Hasn't Dan Brown done enough damage???

gweggleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03002098528986026731noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7210602.post-38997800202653363492013-01-14T14:26:46.910-06:002013-01-14T14:26:46.910-06:00Addendum to this, this series paints a far kinder ...Addendum to this, this series paints a far kinder picture of Maude AKA Empress Matilda and barely touches on her tyranical rule of England, thus Stephen was reinstated. Oh and by the way, Eustace never died in battle against Henry II, he died with his mum when they both got ill, but as stated, it all makes for cracking good watch!gweggleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03002098528986026731noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7210602.post-90922433035372548282013-01-10T16:01:00.359-06:002013-01-10T16:01:00.359-06:00OK, this series does chance a bit re the actual hi...OK, this series does chance a bit re the actual histories concerned, the notion the Henry's son William was actually done in by Walerin and co is the author's supposition, makes a great tell, anywit, the only historically glaring inaccuracy is the term of address 'Your Majesty', this didn't come into effect until the reign of Richard II, the 'God king' (and conveniently clung onto since nary mind having been killed by Bollingbroke). This series wholly shows up the complete and utter dross that was 'The Tudors'; read early Rennaisance soft porn! I truly pity Peter O'Toole and Sam Neill, mayhaps they needed the money?!
So perchance a little dodgy to the actual, but still a cracking good watch!gweggleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03002098528986026731noreply@blogger.com
